Applications to Back in the Black Tour Due
We are excited to announce that Black Innovation Alliance is partnering with Google to launch the Back in the Black Tour in collaboration with ConncetUP! Institute. We are calling all Black businesses and entrepreneurs to consider tech enablement as a viable option for growth.
In an effort to elevate the conversation on the power of technology to help Black businesses scale and stay ‘in the black’ The tour will visit and host ‘Town Halls’ in four cities. The tour will visit Twin Cities on September 14 (location TBA) to highlight business owners who have leveraged technology in various ways to survive and thrive through the COVID-19 pandemic.
What is the contest and how do I enter the contest?
The tour will host a town hall eventon 9/14 in the Twin Cities, MN, to highlight business owners who have leveraged technology in various ways to survive and thrive through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The town halls will also provide local entrepreneurs with tactical tips and strategies so that they can activate key platforms, products and online tools to take their business to the next level, build generational wealth and spur economic development.
As part of the tour, we will launch a national contest in search of entrepreneurs who have experienced growth over the last three years and have used technology to do it.
What can I win?
Each of the 4 winners from each of our tour stops will receive $10,000 and be invited to share their story at the local town halls. The national winner will also win $10,000 and be featured across all the stops.
When do I need to submit my story?
The deadline to submit entries is 8/26/2022.
