Join us for round 2! If you missed the first one, don’t worry – you can join this without being behind (some of us didn’t make it very far… see the tips below).

We’ll be hacking our way through the embedded Rust Discovery Book (the book assumes you have some knowledge of Rust, but does not assume you have any embedded experience. Great for embedded beginners!). We’ll be using micro:bit micro-controllers. This is BYOMicro-controller – if you don’t already have one, you’ll need to get one from your favorite micro-controller store (amazon usually has some in stock).
If you don’t want to hack, come join and just hang out!

Tips for success

Do these things at home/on a fast wifi connection:

  • Update Rust via `rustup update` (just a reminder)
  • Go through the first part of the Discovery Book and install all the tools and targets you will need on fast wifi
    The wifi there is fine once you have those installed.

A number of us brought various microcontrollers to the first one. If you don’t want to use the micro:bit or want to do a different project, go for it!
