On opening day of the Minnesota State Fair, SciMathMN brings together kids of all ages to celebrate and explore the wonders of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through hands-on learning, interactive STEM experiences, and connections to nonprofit STEM education providers, student groups, and local businesses.

Join us in Dan Patch Park on Thursday, August 25, 2022, for a celebration of STEM including a performance stage and over 30 exhibitors providing hands-on and interactive opportunities to explore, discover, create, and be inspired. See how everyday objects, systems, and buildings are driven by science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Visitors will be able to drive robots, try their hand at computer coding, explore electricity with simple circuits, make straw rockets, build model State Fair buildings, explore RFID technology and more.

STEM Day at the State Fair is an initiative of SciMathMN. SciMathMN brings together a statewide STEM community to promote equitable and accessible STEM learning and workforce participation, empower lifelong learning, and inspire informed community action.

Organized by volunteers, STEM Day at the State Fair is supported by Boston Scientific, MTS Systems Corporation, Target Tech Kids, Andersen Windows and Doors, Medtronic, Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT), Hennepin County, Seagate Technology, Silk Road Medical, and Xcel Energy.
