The School of Data: Data Studio and Data Catalog

Sometimes you need to create and share a dashboard to show others what is in a database. This week we’re learning how to do that with Data Studio to build a BI dashboard of data in BigQuery. BigQuery is an amazingly scalable and cost-efficient database from Google Cloud and was developed based on years of experience with large databases. We’re also using Data Catalog hands-on.

Learn how to build a BI dashboard with Data Studio as the front end, powered by BigQuery on the back end

Data Catalog: Qwik Start

In this lab you will explore existing datasets with Data Catalog and mine the table and column metadata for insights.

You’ll work through Google Cloud labs to get hands-on experience and when you complete each whole quest, you earn a badge for your LinkedIn!

We’re learning and sharing Google Cloud skills weekly hands-on events using Qwiklabs to help you learn more about Cloud Computing and running your projects on Google servers in the cloud.
