Data Analytics Intern (Michigan or Minnesota)

This role may be hybrid in one of our Michigan or Minnesota office locations.*

As an Intern on our Data Analytics Team you will help our clients find real meaning from raw data helping them to run their companies more efficiently and successfully.  You will focus on building data repositories, ingest mechanisms, and transformations to meet the needs of our clients.

What you’ll accomplish:
  • Data exploration and discovery
  • Understand data needs and build data models to support those needs
  • Model reporting structure in data warehouse and build procedures to build data
  • Build data warehouses and repositories for small to big data implementations
  • Identify and implement data flow using ETL and ELT processes
  • Ingest data in varying frequencies and methodologies
  • Migrate data from various database technologies
  • Work with data lakes to store, process, and serve data
What you’ll bring:
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Interest in data engineering or data science
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data normalization, database security, T-SQL or PLSQL
  • Knowledge of SQL optimization and various database platforms
  • Understanding of database design and data modeling in relational databases
  • Experience optimizing databases and stored procedures and tuning performance
