A Full Stack Developer at Affinity Plus plays an important role in the credit union’s delivery of exceptional service levels.  This role assists other developers with analyzing, building, and testing custom development in business applications. Additionally, this role will assist in the programming and maintenance of existing applications, as well as aide in the conceptualization and development of new software.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop within Temenos Journey Manager (formerly Avoka) to build and improve onboarding workflows.
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Create services that use the Transact Fluent API, as well as third-party APIs to manage, secure, and manipulate data and digital assets.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing unit and integration tests, documenting functionality and bundling applications for the various Journey Managerinstances (Dev, Test etc.)
  • Review designs and business requirements to provide input and ask clarifying questions.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications, including DevOps activities as part of the release and performance management processes.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members within the engineering team
  • Work with engineering leadership to develop programming templates and standards consistent with industry best practice.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 4+ years of programming experience.
  • Intermediate Experience with Object Oriented Analysis, Development and Design using Java and Groovy.
  • Intermediate experience with SOAP & REST API integrations, including development and design.
  • Intermediate knowledge in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript and HTML
  • Experience with data structures, JSON and XML preferred.
  • Ability to stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and cooperatively resolve them using personal expertise as well as internal and external resources
  • Advanced experience in gathering requirements and authoring programming specifications

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps or AWS
  • Scrum or agile work preferred
  • Temenos Journey Manager experienced preferred
  • Work experience in a financial institution
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science


Workplace Environment:

  • Sitting 90-95% and standing 5-10% which is determined on your rotation within the branch
  • Working at a computer 98% of the day, utilizing the phone 10-20%
  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
  • Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc.
  • Lift, carry, push or pull up to approximately 30 pounds


Required Work Schedule:

Standard Monday through Friday business hours with a willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed. This position will be mostly remote, with 2-3 meetings/year anticipated in-person, in Minnesota.

May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.
