Job Summary
As the Power BI Reports Developer, you will be a key member of the Business Service Management Team working closely with the Power Platform developers and M365 operations for Revenue’s IT Division. In this position you will develop reports, manage report content, and analyze business intelligence data to help identify areas of operational and administrative improvement, as well as provide operational support to other users of Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform.

This position will also contribute to the ownership of reporting used in maintaining and monitoring the service level agreements between MNIT and Minnesota Department of Revenue.

supports management and operational level planning
coordinates business intelligence end products
provides support and troubleshooting to Power BI users
This position is currently eligible for full-time telework:

Telework for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Only candidates located in Minnesota and bordering states (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) are telework eligible.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume:

Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience with Microsoft Power BI including data gateway, UX, and UI.

Experience must include:

Experience building dashboards, reports, and business intelligence deliverables.
Ability to understand and analyze business needs and develop effective, efficient solutions in Microsoft Power Platform.
Ability to troubleshoot end user technical issues and provide tailored IT support.
Experience with database management and/or data management.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, working both independently and in a team setting.
Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAS and SQL.
Experience working in product teams using agile methodology.
Experience with the SDLC and software development methodologies.
Experience using front-end Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML.
Experience with automated testing.
Experience presenting to large audiences including senior level leadership.
Experience applying Web accessibility standards and best practices, including the State of Minnesota technology accessibility standard, as well as experience with automated accessibility-testing tools.
