This position will be part of the Enterprise Services team, which delivers a full suite of services to state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions, and many central services to local government partners.

Job Summary

As a Software Delivery Specialist, you will provide high-level technical support to Executive Branch agencies, specifically focused on the efficient delivery of software to devices. You will manage all aspects of creating and testing software packages in preparation for distribution of software intended for installation on enterprise devices.  You will manage all aspects of deploying software packages created by yourself and others and troubleshoot problems with deployments.  You will lead or participate in division projects as needed, including but not limited to initiatives related to systems management, general desktop computing support, scripting, agency-wide software rollouts, etc.

This position is currently eligible for full-time telework: 

  • Telework for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies in St. Paul, Minnesota. 

  • Only candidates located in Minnesota and bordering states (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) are telework eligible

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume: 

Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience.

Experience must include:

  • Experience in PowerShell or scripting languages.
  • Experience Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
  • Experience with Virtual Machines.
  • Experience in vulnerability remediation and patch management.
  • Experience with remote tools, (i.e. Bomgar, SCCM and RDP).
  • Experience working with incident logging, work tracking systems for retrieving ticket queue for work orders. (i.e. Remedy on Demand, BMC Helix, or ServiceNow).

A master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR a related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR a related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong standardization methodologies.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Advanced PowerShell skills.
  • Deploying software to Modern Managed Devices (including Mobile Devices)
  • Software automation experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager experience.
