We are very excited to welcome Vassey Konneh to our team this summer as Minnestar’s very first intern.

With a strong background in campus community leadership, event planning, and a passion for technology and entrepreneurship – Vassey brings an extraordinary perspective to our work.

Over the course of the next 10 weeks, Vassey will be working closely with Minnestar’s Executive Director Maria Ploessl on projects related to marketing and programming for the organization. We are excited to have him working with us this summer!

“My name is Vassey Konneh. I’m a first-generation college student studying biophysics and computer science at Saint John’s University with the goal of becoming a Biomedical engineer. I am considering a master’s in biomedical engineering or technology development.

On campus, I am very involved as the Events Coordinator for the Black Student Association, Board member of the Joint Club Board, run on the Track and Field team, involved with Enactus, Engineering club, and Joint Events Club. Outside of school, I am working on launching two businesses and volunteer as an EMT.

I am interested in technology, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and social studies. I’m excited and honored to have the opportunity to be working at Minnestar this summer to gain valuable entrepreneurial and leadership experience, professional development, and
learning about amazing technologies.”
