Present at Minnedemo
Thanks for your interest in presenting at Minnedemo, we can’t wait to see what you’re building! Applications are accepted year-round, and we review all submissions received since the last Minnedemo when selecting demos for the next event.
Submitting is easy: Just fill out our online application. We welcome tech projects of all sizes and stages — from solo side gigs to big company innovations — as long as they’re made here in Minnesota.
Applications for Minnedemo42 are due Sunday, Aug 23 at midnight CT.
About the Application
Applying to Minnedemo is simple and typically takes 15–30 minutes, plus whatever time you’d like to spend recording your demo video.
Here’s what you’ll be asked to provide:
- Info about you – Tell us about yourself (and your team), where you’re based, and confirm you’re available to present at Minnedemo.
- An overview of your demo – Describe what you’ve built, who it’s for, why it’s interesting, and what attendees will see. You’ll also share any relevant website, product, GitHub repository, or social links.
- Technical details – Tell us about your tech stack, any AV or technical requirements for your live demo.
- Demo video – Submit an unedited video under 5 minutes showing your working technology. Keep it casual — we’re looking for a preview of your live demo, not a polished production.
Demo selection
After applications close, a volunteer selection committee reviews every submission and thoughtfully curates a lineup of seven demos that reflects the breadth of Minnesota’s tech community.
We look for applicants who clearly communicate what they’ve built, bring genuine enthusiasm for their work, and submit a demo video that gives us a strong sense of what they’ll share on stage.
The process is more art than science. Our goal is to showcase a mix of technologies, industries, types of builders, and unexpected ideas — creating an evening that’s engaging, surprising, and representative of the incredible community.

New to Minnedemo? Here’s how it works:
- 7-minute live demos. No slides—just you and your working technology.
- Show what you’re building. Whether it’s a polished product, prototype, side project, open source tool, or work in progress, we want to see it.
- Share it with the community. Demo in front of a supportive audience of technologists, founders, creators, students, potential users, investors, and fellow builders.
- Make new connections. Minnedemo is a chance to get feedback, spark conversations, meet collaborators, and celebrate the amazing things being built across Minnesota.
