Live testing of in-development games!
For in-person testing, developers can send a build of their game in advance to run on one of our machines, or bring their own laptop/materials. For the stream, developers only need to send a build to us. Online playtesters don’t download builds and do not need a streaming setup.
Ways to participate…
In-person:
Attendee/playtester: Come by and check out the games on display. Easy!
Developer: First, let us know on our Discord server that you have a game to bring, then…
- For video games: we’ll ask you to send us a working (or near enough!) build of your game.
- For tabletop games: let us know how many players and how much space you need, and then just bring in your materials before the event starts.
In order to guarentee a machine/space to run your game, to be featured on the stream, and have your playtest gameplay recorded for later review, you’ll need let us know about your game before the event, but you are always welcome to just bring in a laptop or whatever without signing up in advance. If there’s space available, we’ll try to find playtesters for you!
Online:
Attendee: Watch (and comment) on YouTube! Easy!
Developer: Same as the in-person instructions. For video games, as long as you send us a build to run on the machines here, you don’t need to attend the event in order to playtest your game.
