About the Series

This seminar series will provide updates on emerging technologies in safety, mobility, and cybersecurity. It will also explore the equity and policy impacts of these technologies. Seminars will cover a wide range of disciplines, including computer science, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, policy and risk analysis, and urban and regional planning.

The seminars are open to anyone interested in learning more about the interplay of science, technology, policy, and transportation. Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and practitioners are encouraged to attend.

The series is being delivered as part of the University of Minnesota’s participation in the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT). Led by the University of Michigan, CCAT is the USDOT’s Region 5 University Transportation Center. It consists of nine institutions, including the University of Minnesota, conducting research to address comprehensive transportation safety, congestion, connected vehicles, connected infrastructure, and autonomous vehicles.
