Dear Minnestar community,

As you are probably already aware, the news surrounding the coronavirus outbreak is evolving rapidly by the day and hour. Several large local gatherings and events have been cancelled, companies are moving to remote work, many universities are closing campuses for the remainder of the semester, and several states have moved to ban large gatherings.

The safety and well-being of our community is our number one priority. Based on recommendations from local health officials, and in order to help contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have come to the difficult decision to postpone April’s Minnebar until later this year.

The Minnestar board and I will be continuing to meet with Best Buy and our key partners in the weeks to come, in order to develop plans on what the event will look like and when it will take place. We will keep you posted as the plan develops.

Lastly, I want to say thank you. Running the nation’s largest (un)conference is a true honor, and a testament to our strong collaborative community of partners, vendors, sponsors, speakers, supporters and volunteers. We appreciate every single one of you for your ongoing support.

Warmest regards,

Maria Ploessl
