Job Summary
As a Desktop User Support Technician, you will provide educational technology support to students, staff, administration, and other stakeholders at the Minnesota State Academies for the Deaf and Blind. You will be responsible for documenting processes to standardize across the enterprise team. This position will provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Laptop/ Desktop/ iPad / network devices. You will also provide support regarding virus and malware removal, workstation /server imaging, patching, troubleshooting PC, iOS and network devices, and oversee asset management.
This position requires an employee to be onsite.

This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 as well as Apple IoS in an School/enterprise environment.
Experience must include:
- Supporting Supporting end to end LAN and WAN software and hardware in an enterprise or school environment. end to end LAN and WAN software and hardware in an enterprise or school environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2013/2016/2019/ M365
- Working in Active Directory, Group Policy, Networking (TCP/IP, protocols, services, etc.), Security and VPN.
- Understanding of application packaging and deployments for PC.
- Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
- Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years’ experience using Meraki MDM/ M365 management platforms.
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in Windows 10/ Win11 and touch devices.
- Knowledge of ITIL Foundation.
- Associate’s Degree in computer science, network administration or related field.
- Experience in configuring, using and troubleshooting Windows Servers/Active Directory, Group Policy, PDQ.
